Many customers often encounter tearing problems in the course of practical use. This is especially true for customers in the hydraulic industry. So what determines the tear resistance of fire-resistant sleeve? I will briefly describe it below.
Firstly, in the weaving process of the glass fibre, the tightness of the glass fibre is an important factor in determining it is tear resistance. If the glass fibre weave is too loose, the silicone is too thin and will easily tear.
Secondly, the formula ratio of the silicone determines the tear resistance. If the tear resistance component of the silicone is less, the tear resistance will be much lower.
Thirdly, the thickness of the silicone is a key factor in determining the tear resistance, the thicker the silicone, the stronger the tear resistance. The thicker the silicone, the better the tear resistance. This is why we have a Grade A+ sleeve for this category. The tear resistance is very good.
In short, it is the raw material and the process that determine the tear resistance of the fire protection sleeve.
